Overview
Concept
Indigo Ridge is a new eco-friendly community located in the growing city of Page, Arizona. The 200 acre Master-planned community is located near Lake Powell, a popular tourist destination in northern Arizona, just a few miles from the Utah border.
The community, which is just being started, will ultimately contain a couple hundred, high end, energy efficient homes. Indigo Ridge is seeking LEED certification, which means the community will likely embrace the following features:
- Using indigenous plants to align community with the natural environment
- Recycling most materials as homes are built
- Employing features to limit indoor and outdoor water usage
- Building homes to maximum level of energy efficiency
Lifestyle
The location of Indigo Ridge lends itself to an active lifestyle. Page, Arizona estimates that 3 million people visit the town each year to take advantage of the abundant natural resources. Not only is Lake Powell located nearby, but there are also five national monuments, stunning mountains and beautiful views of cliffs within a few miles of the community.
Activities Include:
- Snorkeling
- Horseback riding
- Hiking & Camping
- Waterskiing
- Bass & Trout fishing
Page is growing quickly as restaurants, shopping centers, recreation companies, and several residential developments are all being constructed. The increased population will only increase the number of folks wanting to take advantage of the great lifestyle offered.
Homes
Indigo Ridge will offer both townhomes and single family homes which range from 1,496 to 3,360 square feet. The homes will offer between 2-4 bedrooms with some offering guest quarters.
Green features for the homes have not been released. Seeing that Indigo Ridge is seeking LEED certification, they will likely be offering energy efficiency appliances, insulated windows, low flow faucetry, low VOC paints and cabinetry, and many other sustainable finishes.
Phase 1 of the development has begun and will contain roughly 60 residences. Orders are being taken on residences but prices still have not been released. You can request floorplans and listings when they become available towards to the top of the page.
Transportation
Getting to Page would be done mostly by car (5 minute drive), as there is not yet enough population to support public transportation. The community has access to highway 89. Flagstaff, AZ is about a 2 hour drive.
There is an airport in Page, which offers daily flights to Denver and Phoenix.
