Concept

Vickery is a community of about 500 green homes in Cumming, GA. The community, built by Hedgewood Homes, is committed to maintaining the integrity of the land on which it was built. 75 acres of the property has been dedicated as parks and open space. Homes are built close to the street, with large front porches, which creates a wonderful social feel, which is not common in the area. The level of community amenities also surpasses other comparable communities of its size. For these reason, Vickery has won several "Community of the Year" awards, both locally and nationally.

All homes at Vickery are built to EarthCraft specifications, which means that they embrace many energy-efficiency and sustainable features.

Neighborhood

Vickery is an active neighborhood, which offers amenities beyond what one would expect to find in a similar sized neighborhood. In addition to 3 schools within walking distance from all homes, the community offers beautiful park spaces which are used for community gatherings. There are outdoor movies and concerts in the neighborhood parks throughout the year. Other Vickery amenities include:

Vickery is located about 40 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. The community is about 4 miles off of I-19 and the GA-400. Transportation outside of the community is done mostly by car as public transportation is not prevalent in the area.
