Concept
Symphony Park in Las Vegas takes the idea of green development to a whole new level. When finished Symphony Park will be a 61 acre LEED Gold urban oasis just a few miles north of the Las Vegas strip. The project, which will contain immense civic, cultural, medical, retail and residential facilities, seeks to provide Las Vegas residents with the inclusive feel of an urban neighborhood that they have been missing.

Symphony Park was the only development in Nevada to be accepted into the LEED ND (Neighborhood Development) Pilot Program. The site was formerly a switching station for the Union Pacific Railroad, and was considered undevelopable by many.   Listed below are some conservation highlights of the eco-friendly development:

  • The entire project will conserve enough energy and gas to power approximately 2,100 US homes on an annual basis
  • Water saving features such as low flow faucetry and dual flush toilets will save around 124 Million gallons of water each year
  • Walkable neighborhood mixed with easy public transportation to downtown Las Vegas will reduce car usage by about 1/3
  • Building will have green roofs, and parking garages will be used, drastically reducing the heat island effect caused by parking lots and tar roofs

Neighborhood

Symphony Park, which was originally named Union Park, is designed to enrich the lives of those who live and work in Southern Nevada. The development is divided into several different districts:
  • Civic District: Home of the Performing Arts Center
  • Specialty District: Will contain hotels, retail, gaming, and entertainment
  • Residential District: A wide variety of housing types will be the heart of Symphony Park's urban setting
  • Medical/Office District: A medical campus and office space.

At the center of the neighborhood will be a 2 acre green space, appropriately named Symphony Park. The entire development, which spans only 61 aces will attractive, green, and easily walkable. When completed the project will offer 10 Million square feet of energy efficient office space and will employ over 14,000 people.

Homes

Symphony Park will feature over 3,000 urban style residences developed by Newland Homes. When finished there will be several different living styles of homes to choose from including: low and high rise condos, street level town homes, walk-ups, and live/work retail units.    Residents can expect resort style amenities throughout the development.

All homes at Symphony Park will be built using LEED ND principals, which means residents can expect a variety of eco-friendly building practices and green finishes.   Use the buttons above to request information about Symphony Park and receive more information about pricing and floor plans as it becomes available.

Transportation

Symphony park is located in downtown Las Vegas a couple miles north of the strip. The development is bordered by I-15 on the west and Charleston Boulevard on the South. The Las Vegas Premium Outlets and World Market Center are located near the development. When finished, Symphony Park will be highly walkable with easy public transportation access to just about anywhere in the city.
