Concept
Brightleaf at the Park is a master planned community located in the rolling hills outside of Durham, NC. The community is comprised of multiple neighborhoods of new construction homes and townhomes. Throughout Brightleaf, residents will enjoy winding pathways, expansive green spaces, and wonderful amenities.

The community, which was started in 2007, is being built in accordance with Audubon International's guidelines for environmental protection. The comprehensive plan put into place covers wildlife and habitat protection, water quality, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.   Overall, 30% of the land has been set aside as protected space.

Neighborhood
The community is divided into several separate neighborhoods, each being completed by a different home builder. The types and styles of the homes vary between neighborhoods.    At the center of the community is the Brightleaf Club, an amenity filled community center. There is also an elementary school being built within the community, which will be easily walkable from any home.

Action centers around the 15 Acre Brightleaf Club. This amenities center provides residents with numerous outdoor and indoor activity options. The Brightleaf Club features a swimming pool, tennis courts, soccer fields, a playground, and a clubhouse. In the clubhouse residents will find a 24-hour fitness center and spaces to relax in a socially inviting setting. There is a activity calendar full of fun activities year round.

Homes

Brightleaf at the Park has embraced several green development strategies. A minimal amount of grading has been done to all home sites in order to leave as many trees as possible intact. Also, Brightleaf requires that developers plant more trees than is required by the city, in order to give the community a lush appearance. Homes at Brightleaf at the Park are built by several different builders and offer a varying degree of eco-friendly and green features.

Just about every convenience is just a short car ride away.

Due to the location of Brightleaf at the Park, public transportation is currently not readily available in the area. However, the central location of the community, between Raleigh and Durham means that driving will be minimized.
