Overview
Concept
Located in the High Desert of central Oregon, Brasada Ranch, is a resort style community which has gained national attention for their attention to environmentally friendly principals. The master planned community is located on 1,800 acres of beautiful land, just outside of Bend, Oregon. Nearly 50% of the property has remained open space, used for golfing, equestrian activities, and hiking.
The beauty of the area is what draws many residents to consider Brasada Ranch. The horizon is comprised of open views of the central Oregon plains and green rolling hills. Mount Bachelor, a world class ski resort, and three sisters, a group of 3 extinct volcanoes provide spectacular sights. The area enjoys about 300 days of sunshine every year!
The location in central Oregon also provides residents with the ability to easily take part in nearly every outdoor activity imaginable. Activities in the local area include fly fishing, rock climbing, snow and water skiing, golfing, mountain climbing, and much more! This community is a nature lovers paradise.
The homes are well appointed and sustainable. The community offers several different styles of homes which are summarized below. All homes are built using environmentally friendly strategies and include green finishes.
Neighborhood
Brasada Ranch is well known for it's 18-home golf course designed by PGA pro Peter Jacobsen. The private, par 72, golf course is set among native sagebrush and caters to plays for all abilities. A state of the art clubhouse and restaurant accompany the golf course. The community also features an equestrian facility, where riders can explore thousands of acres of open lands and rolling hills. There is also an indoor riding facility and wonderful boarding facilities for both short term and long term boarding.
A 17,000 square foot recreation center provides a place for community gathering and relaxation. Several outdoor pools, indoor spas, and a workout facility make up much of the center. Residents may also enjoy the Family Activity Center, which provides a place for gathering with games, crafts, and movies making up the entertainment. The recreation center has won several awards for its sustainable features including a LEED Gold Certified rating.
Homes
Brasada Ranch offers several kinds of homes, which include cabins, townhomes, custom homes, and home sites where residents can build to their own standards. Each home style is briefly discussed below. All home styles are built to at least of Earth Advantage Certified requirements, and many homes are LEED Certified. This means that homes are at a minimum 15% more efficient than similar sized homes and include the following features:
- Low VOC paints and finishes
- High efficiency HVAC systems
- Energy efficient Appliances
- Use of passive solar design
- Building materials and finishes which conserve natural resources
While each home will vary in its particular materials used, these dwellings will provide residents with a healthier and more affordable place to call home.
Townhomes are attached single story units which offer 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms within 1,610 square feet of living space. Townhomes provide a wonderful mix of privacy and a low maintenance lifestyle. The homes come fully furnished and start in the high $300,000s.
Cabins are fully furnished single family homes which offer ranch and two-story plans. They come completely furnished, with beautiful finishes. Size ranges from about 1,350 to nearly 1,800 square feet, and prices start in the $480,000s. Floorplans are very open, with nice use of outdoor space.
Custom homes are large estates which feature extremely high levels of finished and provide wonderful views. Homes generally range in the $1,000,000+ range and include 3+ bedrooms and 3+ bathrooms. These homes are each unique and are constructed using some very neat sustainable building practices and finishes.

Transportation
Brasada Ranch is located between the cities of Bend and Redmond. Bend is about 20 miles drive, while Redmond is about 10 miles. There is an airport in Redmond with provides flights to many regional cities in the west. Transportation in the area is done mostly by automobile. Shopping and restaurants outside of the community are mostly in the cities of Redmond and Bend.
