Overview

Concept

Stable Flats is a 70 unit green condo project designed to be the first LEED Platinum certified multi-family project of its kind in the United States. From the developers of Thin Flats and Duck Flats, this project takes the green concept to a whole new level, introducing both more units and more green features than before. Over 90% of the property and structure will either be covered by a green roof or park space, drastically decreasing storm water issues and providing a beautiful space for residents to gather.

The project is intended to be a model of urban-redevelopment, located in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia. The developers are leading the way in developing the area into an eco-friendly oasis just north of downtown Philadelphia.

Stable Flats will showcase many great green features which include:

12,000 square feet of community gardens
Geothermal heating & cooling
Solar energy generation
Steel & concrete modular construction
Storm water management system

In addition to being green, the complex is also economically friendly as well. 31% of the units at Stable Flats will be affordable housing.

Neighborhood

Stable Flats is located in the heart of Philly's Northern Liberties neighborhood. The area is known for its historic homes, converted industrial spaces, open parks, and hip crowd. There are dozens of bistros, bars, galleries, and conveniences within easy walking distance of Stable Flats. There are also two large parks, one of which is dog friendly, nearby.

Homes

Stable Flats will ultimately feature 70 units of varying size and price. Unfortunately floorplans and pricing are not available for the development yet.

Transportation

Within just a couple blocks of Stable Flats is a mass transit station which can take residents all over Philadelphia. The development will also feature bicycle storage and a car parking system for residents use.
