Concept

High Point is a 100 acre master planned community located on the west side of Seattle. The existing run-down neighborhood which occupied the property was completely removed in order to make way for the new sustainable community which features parks, retail and several different types of homes.   So far the community has been a huge success, gaining national attention as the most successful neighborhood revitalization in Seattle's history.

The concept of the community is to promote diversity through building eco-friendly housing for a mixture of incomes. About 1/2 of the community will be rentals.   Community activities are encouraged at the brand new library and recreation center. Another large community center is currently in the planning stages.

High Point gets its name from it's geographical location as the highest point in the Seattle area. This lends itself well to wonderful view of the city and surrounding landscapes.   Over 100 large trees were saved during the redevelopment of the property and thousands more have already been planted. The community emphasizes protection of nature through their thoughtful building standards and preservation of natural areas.   Streets and sidewalks are porous to allow for the more natural and safer distribution of rain water.

Homes

High Point offers a mixture of single family homes, condos and townhomes for sale.   The community will be built in two major phases. Phase one is nearly complete, with just a few sustainable homes still available. Phase two began construction in early 2009 and is projected for completion around 2010.

The emphasis of homes is on "front porch architecture", which is designed to give neighbors a greater sense of community. All homes are Energy Star rated and meet a minimum of Built Green™ - 3 star standards, with many dwellings achieving the Built Green™ 4 star rating.   Energy efficient features are numerous but vary by home style. Click the Request a Brochure button above to receive more information about High Point.

Transportation

The community is located just a 10 minute drive away from downtown Seattle via I-5 or I-90. The airport is approximately 20 minutes away.

The location of High Point is near West Seattle, which offers shops, restaurants and plenty of nightlife.    The highly rated West Seattle Golf Course is just a few blocks away.
